After Cataract Surgery How Long Before I Am Not So Sensitive to the Sun.?

by admin

I had eye surgery almost 2 months ago. I still have a hard problem going out side with out sunglasses as the sun is way to bright. I am squinting and frowning more than ever. Plus I seem to have a big problem with dry eye will this get better? I have been drinking a lot more water trying to keep my body hydrated. At night there are large halos around all lights. It's almost annoying. Will the halos get smaller and less noticeable?

Your eyes will get better. I had cataracts in both my eyes and a week after having one done I went to spain for my hols! Just wore my sunglasses when the sun was strongest.

The halos will disappear in time – just as you get used to it! Try not to squint too much. The dry eyes will also get better – in the meantime use artificial tears from the pharmacist.

I was only 40 when I had mine done – was the youngest in the clinic by at least 40 years. Since I had them done my eyes almost perfect – no probs with cataracts I've just got another prob with my eye which will never get better – nothing todo with cataracts.

Just be patient!
