Can Bark Collar Cause Epilepsy?

by admin

I have a 1yr old chihuahua mix and I think she may have had a epileptic fit, without the fit.. she just kinda became disoriented and was almost drunk like for at least 20 mins.
In the middle of this she pooped herself few times and then started getting better.

Do you think it is epilepsy? can it be caused by bark collar?
I have a small bark collar for tiny dogs like chihuahua. I wouldn't put big one on her. Barking is one thing, but yapping at air is not cool especially when we live with our land lord :o (
for all of you angry for using bark collar..you know it really is the last resort of trying to stop her barking. I took her to training, I tried to train her myself but how can you when you're at work! I did all I could and it didn't work, so please just answer my question or just leave it!

I really doubt that it can "give" a dog epilepsy, but if the dog is prone to having epilepsy, it will surely trigger an event.

Don't use no-bark collars. Use training. -!-
