Can dogs have asthma or breathing problems similar to asthma?

Can dogs be born or get asthma or similar breathing problems like asthma?

If yes....what are the main treatments for it? IF anyone knows that is. lol Any vets out there?

happycamper May 28, 2009 at 12:00 pm: Yes dogs can have asthma it is usually allergy related. You can do some searches for more info and descriptions of symptoms to see if it leads you in the right direction.
