Hi,
I'm worried about my grades this year. I had a spine operation in the beginning of the school year(9th grade). I wasn't able to learn everything I missed, so I ended up with a 3.5 Unweighted GPA. I didn't get anything lower than a b-, and took honors biology, honors English, honors world history, and regular level math.
I'm so mad at myself for getting so many b's. I usually get straight a's. I want to go to Boston University or Tufts University, which require a 3.7 unweighted GPA. I couldn't do a sport or club all year(to allow my back to heal). I am going to try to make-up for not doing a club by volunteering for 6 weeks at a local hospital this summer.
Do you think vigorous universities will understand my GPA from my freshman year if everything looks good for my next 3 years. Or, should I just forget about it.
Thanks for your responses!=)

A dip in your 9th grade marks is not going to mess up your life. Relax, then study hard and move ahead.
Good luck.
