My son was diagnosed with a Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, he is 11 years old. My life is hell, because he is a problem kid. A different teacher calls every other day. He gets picked on at school really bad by other kids. He has no friends, he tries to buy friends. His teachers are all fed up with him. He says everybody hates him. I believe him when he says he is going through hell at school because his home room teacher told me to my face that he'll end up dead or in prison. That teacher hurt my feelings. I went home and sobbed because it seems that the school don't care. He flunks out in school. I have to tell him something a million times before it get through to him. In order to learn anything in school paying "attention" is vital and that's something he just can't do. I want help for my boy but I do not know how and what to do this is very new to me. The school don't give a damn, his teacher really only cares about a pay check and not the kids. What help can I get?

Question: How can i know if i have Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD?

Answer: I found out at age 50 that i had ADHD when tested for it by a Masters degree School Counselor who tested for ADD & ADHD and other stuff! i was referred to her by an MD to determine whether i had it or not. I was an insurance broker and did a lot of medical insurance, and some of my clients and their kids had it. I had some of the conditions attributed to ADHD yet not others, so I decided to get tested and find out for sure.

Some of the attributes of ADHD people are : problems finishing projects that you have started, problems focusing to get started on a project, needing total silence to be able to concentrate on doing your work, and others. Some good things to know, most ADD & ADHD folks are generally brighter and smarter than most people. We are very creative people, we are bright, quick thinkers and problem solvers, we get bored easily after completing the hard part of a project, and have trouble with the mundane follow through to finish the task at hand. We may change occupations several times in life, getting bored with each one, and moving on to something new and challenging. We tend to interrupt people we are talking with, because we can sense the outcome of their conversation, and are anxious to answer or finish the thought or problem.

It's hard to be sure you are or are not ADHD or ADD unless you are tested by someone adept and a professional tester of this condition. Don't just take a Dr's word for it, like one doctor asked me, "Did you have trouble in high school?" When i answered no, he said then you are not ADHD or ADD. He did not know BOO that is not a sure way of knowing, because ADHD folks can adapt to their environments, and sometimes handle the situation without realizing they are ADHD.

Try to find an MD that specializes in ADHD & ADD and things like that, and get properly evaluated. Don't take one persons word for it, especially an MD who does not specialize in it. Being an MD is not in of itself a guarantee that they know what they are talking about.

If you have more questions, just ask the nurse expert.

Is depression the exact opposite of contentment? If the solution to depression is just the re-calibrating of chemical imbalance with a hint of serotonin here and top up of dopamine there, then how is it that medical health forecasters are advocating that inside 10 years psychological disorder will be responsible for forty percent of all medical death and incapacity in the western world? The chemical route seems to be providing less than inspiring answers. There's a continuum that measures psychological contentment and feelings starting from ecstatic thru to well, melancholy, upset, catatonic and eventually suicidal. The opening up of a previously scowled on subject to discourse appears to have showcased a pandemic. Also I read my bible each day after that.

I found out that God loved me and he needed to bless me. After you realize this you will be free. He didn't wish to hurt me or to cause me any harm. Why do I say this? For the following few months I continue to suffered with issues of fear which I had endured from all my life. Learn from my personal experiences and don't keep putting off the true wants of your heart, and living years with disappointment. Now that I operate in my gifts it's been dazzling to discover how God can now use them and bless them. Now, I wouldn't hesitate to step out and try our some new stuff ( even if I'm fearful I am doing it terrified ). I've been staggered at what I like to do and what I am really good at.

At the moment roughly seventeen p.c of USA citizens suffer from some kind of depression. In this piece, you'll learn what's depression, what leads to mental depression, and how it's possible for you to simply beat depression without a visit to the chemist. I want to accept that the cause of ignoring this condition is to avoid those dangerous anti-depressants. *What is Depression Depression is a non-trivial medical problem, that accept it or not, most of the people will just ignore. When depression strikes, incentivized by fear, the general public hang on to the tiny that they have while Winners invest because they have expected those times and they're prepared. The general public spend handsomely during periods of wealth as if there is not any more tomorrows, while Winners save and gets prepared during these times. They have the cash and the resources required because they're prepared. We have got a choice whether to become a Winner or a loser in this coming great depression.
