TREATMENT:

    There is no specific cure for multiple sclerosis; however various forms of treatment have been studied. The care of the patient with MS is basically a matter of symptomatic general care that varies with the person’s current needs.
    
     The following measures are important:

• Rest and relief from fatigue and stressful situations. This does not necessarily mean strict bed rest.
• Since fever often triggers an acute episode, measures should be taken to cool the body temperature. Cool baths or ice packs may give temporary improvement. Underlying infections should be treated specifically.
• If the person is restricted to bed, regular passive ROM exercises are given to prevent contractures. Care must be taken not to cause fatigue.
• Various steroid preparations may be administered, usually in high doses for short periods of time. There is no substantial evidence that their use is effective, except when the optic nerve is involved.
• Various diet have been advocated as influencing the course of the disease so, patient is advised to eat a well balance diet to help maintain an optimum weight.

About a month ago i woke up to find my toes completely numb. After a week both my feet and tips of my fingers were completely numb. I went to the er. the did an mri and bloodwork and found nothing significant. They told me I pinched a nerve and to go see a chiropractor. Well the numbness had gotten worse. No pain, but im losing power in my legs and feet and am having trouble walking. What is wrong? can it be reversed? is definitely neurogical? will it go away on its own?

During the day I have numbness and tingling (mostly in left leg). At night I have restelss leg (mostly in left). When I wake up I feel fine until I stand up and put weight on my feet. Both feet and legs hurt. Pain lasts for few minutes. I am an under 30 male. Had MRI & CT done looking for MS, nothing found.

The kittens were found by a ditch full of water. Not sure how long they were there. Humane Society here won't take them, they are over full now. I've been crying, scared to lose them. I'm not just going to let anything happen to them, any ideas or suggestions? Please Help! Thanks!
