Causes of Teenage Alcohol Abuse

Alcoholism is a disease. In teens it often states out bythe teen drinking to “fit in with peers”. I’m a parent myself and I don’t think ALL of it can be blamed on the parent. I’m also 27yrs clean and sober, and stopped blaming my parents my first year clean-for my addiction. My father was an alcoholic and died at 42.
I don’t think there is an easy answer to your question-I believe it is a social issue, a parenting issue and a disease. Just curious-is this a school or personal question. If you need more help read my profile and e-mail me if you’d like. God Bless Reggie
