No there is no other cure. Believe me, my grandmother looked into it thoroughly. She was so afraid of the surgery that she put it off until she could no longer see to do her favorite crocheting and embroidering projects, than reluctantly had it done. When it was over, all she could say was that she wished now she'd had it done years ago! It was not the ordeal that she had thought it would be, and improved her eyesight enormously. PS. If money for the surgery is a consideration, try going to one of the university hospitals. Talk to your doctor about this. There are ways for you to have this done without it costing more than your budget can handle.
