Dealing with Incontinence
I'm 15 and somewhat incontinent. I don't have any other health problems, just a weak bladder. Mostly, I've learned to deal with it.
However, I do have a problem at school with teachers not allowing me to use the bathroom. When the urge hits, I HAVE to go. There's no holding it once my body has decided i need to go. I do try to go between classes or during lunch, but sometimes its not an option when the restroom is WAY out of the way or its crowded. We only get 5 minutes between classes.
I don't want to resort to diapers! but I really don't want to wet myself in class either......anybody have any ideas? Is there a way to make the teachers let me go? I'm sure they think I'm faking it, but I'm not!

I understand how you feel; I had the same problem when I was in school. I agree with the first answer, a note from your doctor to the school principal (to be shared with all of your teachers in private) should take care of the problem. I know it'll be an embarrassing note to get, but that should be better than constantly suffering throughout the day wondering whether you'll have an accident or not!
As an alternative, if going to your family doctor isn't an option, you could try talking to your school counselor (they are required by law to keep what you tell them private, as long as you don't express that you're suicidal or something), or you could go to a free walk-in health clinic and try to get a note there. With a documented medical condition that requires you to use the bathroom more frequently, the law requires the school to accommodate you. Good luck!
