Diabetes Insipidus & Pituitary Gland Surgery?

by admin

Does anyone know if diabetes insipidus is temporary/curable after a pituitary gland cyst surgery? It's a side effect I am having after my surgery six weeks ago. My endocrinologyst prescribed me desmopressin which helps, but I do not want to be dependent on this medication. Just wondering if someone has had similar experience and gotten better. Thanks!

GOOD LUCK. Most of the time this is temporary. I have been researching as I have a pituitary cyst. I will see specialist on 9/14 in Ky. But I truly believe it is only for now unless you had other factors.
