I was given a methacholine challenge and after two rounds the doctor quit saying I did not have asthma. I understand that there are 6 rounds used in the test. I continue to have breathing problems and some doctors say it might be asthma - other docs say no asthma? How hard is asthma to diagnose?

The diagnosis by this methacholine test is very sensitive and specific. The diagnosis in an a non asthmatic is made very early in the test.
