Incontinence Question?

by admin

I have noticed recently that right before my period I become slightly incontinent. Usually there is not a lot of urine, not like my bladder is bursting. I can feel like I want to go then when I get near the loo it's very urgent. It dosen't happen at any other time of the month and I can usually be dying to go and not have a problem holding it. I am quite a sporty person, exercise 3 times a week and also have done the Kegal exercies for many years. Happens when I go on trampoline as well but again only right before my period. I had a smear recently and was told my pelvic floor was in good shape. I have a ten year old child. Anyone know why this is happening?

Heya,
To be honest with you this really does sound like its related to your period hows your water retention? as thats what i think its linked to if the doctor has said when you went for your smear that your pelvic floor is in good shape when you went for your pap smear i dont think there would be anything to cause concern. It sounds to me like this is natural for you from what your saying and i definately think its related to your water retention. How about before your period you try out some pads just incase so your protected. What i would do though even though i recon its what i wrote is speak to your doctor who may refer you to have more tests done just incase but if they say so far your pelvic floor is in good shape i dont think theres anything cause for concern and this may just be normal for you but if your worried please get checked out just to put your mind at rest.
Hope i helped
x
