Is Hypertension a Medical Disease or Is It Merely the Symptom of Another Disease?

Hypertension is high blood pressure and what I need is documentation that it can or cannot be a disease on it's own.

dootch March 8, 2009 at 2:44 am: Its a disease brought on from an unhealthy life style...generally a bad diet ...& lack of excercise......It can be reversed and erased, so dont let it get you down...its also a genetic trait...you may have gotten it through your mom or dad...Its more prominet in black and pacific rim people...
