Is It Normal to Have Diarrhea as a Result of an Appendix Surgery?

I had an appendix surgery 3 days ago. After that, I have been having diarrhea. Does somebody know if this is normal?

By the way, this kind of diarrhea does not make my stomach hurt, as opposed to (I guess) a normal diarrhea.

Moped Mama January 21, 2009 at 9:00 pm: if your on antibiotics oral or IV your going to have some sorta of diarrhea and sometimes you have C DIFF , so i would start eatting activa type yogurt live bacteria is needed,if your on antibiotics , plus the anethesia and IV fluids make you dump , start eatting simple oatmeal with fruit , mash tators, grits , hot cereal s. soups like ckn veg or ckn and rice and toast ,
