mother has epileptic fits in her sleep, new baby has started to shake in his sleep, hospital has done eeg - clear, blood sugar was low but now ok, taking his feeds, hospital has had him for 3 days now doing tests. She took her medication during pregnancy, could he be having withdrawal symtoms or has he got epilepsy too?

wow, i am very sorry to hear that. as long as he is being treated in a good facility im sure all will be well. if he does have epilepsy, it can be managed with medications and regular visits to the neurologist. it can make for a scary situation.
my son has a rare heart condition, so my heart goes out to you. i know just how scary it can be dealing with medical issues for a child.
my 2 cousins have epilepsy, but they are both unable to have children as their epilepsy is so severe. so what a blessing this baby is. congradulations to the family and good luck. the baby and your family will be in my prayers
