My c section was 9 1/2 days ago. Still my legs don't function properly. I can walk, but by the end of the day my legs get harder to 'work them properly'. And even in the morning, to lift my legs onto a footstool is almost impossilbe. Walking is fine mostly, but side to side movements don't work that well. Sometimes I have to take my arms and lift my legs. Is this normal after an epideral... am I partially paralized for life... or is it that they are heavy from the fluid retention from the IV?
-also, how long till the fluid comes out of my legs and I have ankles again?

I had an epidural when I was in labor and I still can't feel a portion of my thigh. This was 11 months ago. My doctor said that it is one of the risks of having an epidural. He said the feeling may take a while to come back or it may never come back. It is better than what it used to be, but I still have the numbness. Just ask your doctor.
