Political Factors Affecting Job Opportunities For Nurses

January 4, 2010

Hey, I am doing a project on nurses, in college because i myself want to become a nurse i was just wondering if you could answer a few questions for me!

Are there any political factors affecting job opportunities for nurses?

Do you have a high level of responsibility and what responsibilities do you have to carry out on a day to day basis?

Answer:

This is very broad question. First, are you here at United States of America? If you are referring to United States – the answer is YES there are political factors affecting job opportunities for nurses here at United States.

One direct factor is the hiring of foreign nurses going to work as a nurse here in the United States. What ever laws and regulations they (Government/Politics) implemented or will implement greatly affect job opportunities for nurses here at United States. That is one political issue and there are lot more depending on what State you will practice.

For your question about level of responsibility and what responsibilities do you have to carry out on a day to day basis- Lot of responsibilities. One thing as a Nurse job is that we are dealing directly with people or human lives- any errors or mistakes especially those that leave damage or irreversible damage is dangerous.

In Nursing Practice, Liability is high as I mentioned, as nurse you are directly responsible to the safety and security of you patient.

Hope this answers help you.
