Procedure for Stress Incontinence, Can You Tell Me About Your Experience?
It is called a "TOT". It is performed to fix the bladder so that one doesn't pee when coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc. (stress incontinence).
Does it hurt afterward? What is the recovery time?

This procedure which is usually performed on women having had various children and as a result having a prolaps of the uterus, forcing pressure on the bladder and urinating at unwanted moments, is done under general anesthesia, through the vagina. (No invasive surgery). The first days you will spend with a catheter to drain the urine and after a week or so you will be all right. Pain after the procedure is minimal and is handled with analgesics. Dr. House
