Should Firefighters Be Randomly Screened for Drug/alcohol Abuse?

People dont realize that drug testing tests morality and legality, NOT impairment. Alcohol is the only drug that has reliable level vs impairment correlations

I think everybody knows that THC lasts weeks in the urine after ingestion, while impairment last only minutes to hours.

Now, should ANYBODY be impaired by ANY drug when they are responsible for others welfare? No. Nor should they drive. But drug testing doesn't tell you that!

So, no. Don't test their morality, test their impairment by physical means if they exhibit poor judgment or poor coordination.

Those people drink alcohol all of the time when off work(and some on), some to the point of being alcoholic and its accepted all of the time.
