Spina Bifida in Puppies
I am looking for info about anyone who has had experience with a puppy that suffers from spina bifida. I know of one, and considered taking it in, but the needs the puppy has are more than my job and lifestyle can provide. the owners are thinking of putting it down, which seems awful. the puppy has bladder and bowel incontinence.
I realize if the pup is in pain, euthanizing it is the kindest thing to do, but if the dog is not in pain and seems otherwise healthy and happy, it seems like a human convenience to put her down.
How can I help in this situation?? is there a rescue I can recommend? anything will help, thanks!

If it is incontinent then it is kinder to put the pup to sleep – i know that’s not the answer you probably want to hear but it is the kindest thing for the dog.
