What Are the Side Effects of an Epidural Nerve Block Used for Back Pain?

by admin

my friend had and epidural today for back pain and now he is dizzy. could it be a side effect or just from the anasthesia? i was there before to see him and didnt leave untill i knew he was ok and back in bed and im going back later with food but do you think i should leave him tonight or should i insist on staying over incase he needs me? he is in his 60's and all alone. what should i do?

I would stay with him, there are side effects to an epidural, and they are not fun, he should be fine, but if you stay with him then you will know he will be ok and he might need someone to help him tonight, I have had epidurals not for back pain but for having babies and they make your back sore and everything i have nerve damage from my last epidural the back of my legs are always numb, and if i tilt my head down i get a really bad pain in my head, so i would watch of that to, that happened to me 2 days after my epidural. I would stay with him both of you would prob, feel better Good luck and god bless
