What Can I Do About My Asthma in the Army?

I have asthma sense i was in AIT, and its been getting to me ever sense. Ive been in for 2 years and a couple of months and its not getting better. I was told by others with asthma that i can get a profile for it. Can i or will they discharge me for it.

Go on sick call and get treatment.

I was diagnosed with adult-onset asthma in 1996 and retired in 2006.

As long as your asthma is under control and you do well on the APFT – you will not even need a profile. (I never had a profile for my asthma and scored between 280 and 290 on my APFTs.
