I have Fibromyalgia and I sympathize with you. On the pain in your spine and hips in the morning, with stiffness that gets better as you move around is common with FMS. But with the headaches that continue to get worse along with spinal pain I would check with you doctor about checking if you have osteoarthritis of the spine. The pain symptoms can be the same as the tender points in that area are the same as where the pain for lower lumbar arthritis shows up. I recently was diagnosed with spondylosis of my spine and had to have 3 epidural cortisone shots in my lower back. Often when people suffer with chronic pain we just accept ‘new’ pain as part of what we have. It is import to check new pain or pain that is suddenly worse with your doctor, so you can find out if it is something else. Arthritis of the spine can also cause headaches, so can FMS, so talk to your doctor about these symptoms and find out what you can do to help relieve the pain and discomfort.
