Worried About Premature Labor Symptoms
I'm 26 weeks with my first.
things have been changing a lot in the last few days-
1) i have had a lot of pain/pressure down low, in my low abdomen and it feels like the baby is kicking in my cervix, sharp pains through my cervix
2) my lower back is killing me, and my sciatica is worse than ever
3) the baby seems to be moving less than normal, and the movements are a lot lower than they had been all last week
4) i'm under a TON of stress, with my husband just graduated from college and now jobless and me unable to work the hours i was used to.
can these be signs/symptoms of premature labor or is this normal?
what can i do?
what should i avoid doing?
i know i need to talk to my doctor but i can't get ahold of him now, i'll need to wait until tomorrow and i'd like to avoid the ER unless needed.
i also don't know if i'm leaking fluid, but it does feel wet down there, moreso than the normal discharge.
i can't tell a difference in what it looks like/smells like etc though

OBGYN's are suppose to have a nurseline or emergency oncall dr setup for situations such as this. What would happen if you were to go into labor and you can't get a hold of your Dr? Call the Dr's number and see if you get a messaging service or nurse line. If you aren't having contractions and aren't bleeding or having fluid leaking they will probably just say bedrest and to call back on monday for an appt or something. If you start having contractions though, fluid leaking or bleeding then go to the ER. I went into labor with both boys at 32 wks. With my first i was having pressure on my cervix which hurt and back pain and my tummy would get hard but i didn't feel "contractions" the way most describe them so i thought nothing of it but the Dr checked me because of the pressure and I was 3 cm and 80% effaced at 32 wks. Spent 2 wks in the hospital hooked up to meds and then home for more meds and bedrest. Then with my 2nd son again at 32 wks the same thing but that time i knew what was going on so i told the drs and got the meds at home. Delivered both at 36 wks.
