I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia almost ten years ago.I had surgery to remove part of my thyroid a year ago.Every since the surgery I have pain every day mostly moderate to severe.It feels like my muscles are burning.I have very tender and painful points at my hands, elbows knees and hips(muscle or tendon).Before my surgery, I rarely had to take meds for the pain.I now take meds daily and I still hurt.I have been told by my rhuematologist and family doctor it is just a flare ,but I am really starting to wonder if it could be something else.It would be reassuring if I heard about other people’s experiences with fibromyalgia. Please describe the severity and type of pain you experience with FM.
My thyroid is functioning normal without medication. I had a left thyroid lobectomy and the right lobe now does all yhe work.
