Anyone who suffered a heart attack and survived it?

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who suffered a heart attack and survived it? What was the experience like? Did you panic? Did you feel like you were going to die? What were you basically feeling during the attack?

I did on June 23, 2006. I came home and felt like someone parked a truck on my chest. I thought it may have been a pulled muscle but then I began to sweat really heavy and I knew something was drastically wrong. I called 911 and it felt like it took forever for them to arrive (actual time was about 5 minutes). The operator kept me talking until they arrived. They loaded me in the ambulance and started towards the hospital. I remember the aid asking if they could cut of my shirt and I thought what a strange question. The next thing I remember, I was looking down on the aid…and myself. I knew something was really wrong at that point. When I came back, I was being rolled into the ER. I don't ever remember feeling scared or in a panic. I had a stent put in that afternoon. My cardiologist told me several months later that I was pretty lucky. Less than 5% of people who had the type of episode I did survive. The blockage was in what is called "The widowmaker". It was a result of smoking for over 40 years. I urge anyone who ever has a feeling similar to mine not to hesitate and call 911. If I had waited 5 minutes, I would have been dead.
