Does anyone know someone with Fibromyalgia who runs for exercise?

I was recently told that I might have Fibromyalgia by my doctor. I don't have pain other than headaches, and I have major fatigue. During times when I feel good though, I had hoped I could continue running, like I was before I started having the dizziness and numbness.
Oh… I also can not fall into a deep sleep for the past two weeks and my doctor has me on Flexeril 10mg. I am starting to feel better (neck and head pain are managable now). I just don't know if running will do more damage and put me back into that dizzy phase again…

Have you had trouble sleeping for a while? That could be your problem. Sleep, especially the RIM (?spelling) sleep is how your body heals itself from the continuous activity and strain of the day. I have had Fibromyalgia for 8 years. Dizziness was never a problem. Some of the time I hurt all over sort of like a Mac truck hit me. But, most of the time it is achey like you feel when you have the flu. Maybe you should try Ambien or Lunestra for a couple of weeks. That may just put you back to your usual self.
