have l4 l5 disc rupture right side had epidural injection now have pain and numbness in left leg?

right side disc rupture but after the injection still have numbness and pain in right leg but now the left leg has pain and numbness down to foot how is this possible where the rupture is on the right side affecting the l5 nerve right side am i crazy?????????
