I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have been experiencing a great deal of pain, obviously, both now and prior to the diagnosis. I have been to the emergency room twice when the pain was so severe I thought I was going to lose my mind. (I had back labor with my daughter and also had a forceps delivery…the epidural did nothing for my pain…worst pain in my life and the pain I am having now is either the same or worse than labor!) I am taking pain meds now (oxycodone 10/325 w/apap) 3 times a day and some days it barely contains the pain. I will begin Lyrica tomorrow but wondered how long will it be before it takes effect?
