I want a natural child-birth, preferably in the water in the hospital. Will my diabetes affect this outcome?

If you can keep your diabetes under control then you have a chance. If you can't control your diabetes then you have a greater chance of having a very large baby. Before c-sections were performed for convenience women would push out large babies but it seems these days if there's any reason to do a c-section some ob/gyn's will opt for that to minimize their liability hedging their bets that there would be more complications with the vaginal delivery then with a c-section. Discuss managing the diabetes with your doctor and hope for the best. Good luck and congratulations.
