Although this is #1, I have done a lot of research into pregnancy, and have read that first time mums usually feel their babies move around 20 weeks, but with subsequent pregnancies feel movements a lot sooner (16 weeks is what I've generally read) because they know what they feel like and what they're looking out for.
I know that babies moving around this gestation has been described as "fluttering" or "bubbles" in your abdomen, and a couple of days ago at 15 weeks 1 day I felt something *close* to those descriptions, but higher up than I've read my uterus should be at this gestation. Yesterday I also was laying down, and felt a repetitive "twinging" sensation on my left side of the abdomen.
Is this likely to be the baby moving? And if it is, is it normal for the baby to be felt moving at this age only on one side or the other?
I'm not a skinny person, I'm at a BMI of around 30 (or at least I was before getting pregnant!), so I don't know if that affects anything, or makes it less likely that it's movements I'm feeling. I am intending on waiting a few more weeks to see if I keep getting the same feelings regularly, but was wondering if the ones I was focusing on were likely to be movements, if you understand what I mean! 🙂
