Numbness in foot and leg?

Ok i will describe my symptoms.

– Numbness is 50%
– Numbness in foot starts at bone joint in the Big toe and moves in a straight line up to, but not, my ankle
– Numbness is also present in lower foot above ankle area. Its only a small round patch on the left side.
– Has been present for around a month
– Has not got better nor worse since symptoms were first present

The rest of my foot and leg is ok.

I had the same problem last year but it cleared on its own. I do not have diabetes. I also started running 2 days ago, this has not affected the symptoms.

I have no pain, and my foot is fully mobile, if it wasn't i wouldn't be running. I have had NO tingling or burning. I have noticed my toe has shocks going through it sometimes.

My big toe is not totally numb. The end and the sides are fine, no numbness. Surley a circulation problem would affect the whole toe.

Totally confused. Whats the chances of it being nerve damage or spine problems?
I can also feel pain and touch in the numb areas
Its like its only the surface of my skin and not underneath, although as i say i can feel touch and pain. It feels wierd to touch though.
Something sprung to mind. About 5 years ago i wore shoes to small for me to a club. I wore them for 5 hours. For weeks after i had horrible pain and numbness. Could this be a possible cause?
