Have recrrent but persistent pain, kind of a dull one, but sharp at times, on the left side of my chest, more the pectoral area than anywhere else. Have had a complete workup for heart condition, including surgical insertion of a view scope, an angiogram, of my heart, and I was not found to have anything wrong. Yet the pain I have, at times almost constantly, worries me that my heart is causing it. I know fibromyalgia causes random and traveling pains in the body, including the chest, but its not much consolation to know this when you fear the pain might be that that could kill you. And you just can't go running to the emergency room with every pain. So, I live between worry and acceptance of this enigmatic pain
I do have trouble sleeping at night, but am a self-employed writer, so I can sleep some hours in daytime and work any time. Average sleep per day is 5 to 6 hours, and I do generally feel rested unless it's a 2 or 3-hour night of sleep only. Yes, sleep is possibly the biggest factor with fibromyalgia. I do have another condition that tends to make me not sleep, however.
