To have Diabetes Insipidus, do you need to bed-wet?

Lately I’ve been drinking a lot of liquids (non-alcoholic). I’m constantly thirsty and, even when I’ve drank enough to make myself physically sick, I’m still thirsty. Also, I urinate a lot. And it’s extremely dilute. My parents are both nurses and say I need to get checked out. They’re making an appointment soon. But I’ve yet to ask them: do you have to bed-wet to have Diabetes Insipidus? I don’t do that, but all the other symptoms line up. I get dizzy when I don’t drink. I’m constantly thirsty, and I get cotton mouth really easily. I crave cold water/soda and chug it when I do.

Also, how rare is this disorder, and what do they do, exactly, when you’re getting treated?
