What to do when someone has a stroke or heart attack when waiting for 911?

Also i’d like to now, how would you be able to recognize if the person is having a stroke or heart attack??

be sure that the person is not allergic to aspirin, and then give them an adult sized (325mg) aspirin tablet ASAP. Also, be sure that the person is comfortable and not at risk for falling down if he/she passes out. If he/she uses nitroglycerin tablets or spray for chest pain, give this as well. Be sure to have the porch light on, and ask someone to watch for the EMS vehicle to quickly lead the crew to the person in trouble.

Heart attacks often present with crushing pain in the left or center of the chest, often radiating to the left shoulder or arm, sometimes accompanied by shortness of breath, sweating or nausea.

Strokes present with a sudden loss of brain function, such as one-sided muscle weakness or loss of control, a facial droop or trouble talking.
