the thing is,i've been an epileptic patient since the age of 3,and i've been on Tegretal 200mg (carbamazepine) for 15 years. The seizures have not occured for past 4 years. I did not inherit it. It was triggered due to late delivery at the time of my birth. My fiancé or any of his family does not have any epileptic history. So,is it likely that our child may inherit it from me? There's no other epileptic history in my family either. My epileptic seizures were short period,like few seconds of partial unconsciousness. I'd become unconscious for a few seconds,but would have minimal perception that something is going around me. Then again i'd regain consciousness.
