my dr put me on a medication called keppra for epilepsy. he wants me to take 1000mg twice daily. I have taken?

UP TO 1200 MG THROUGHOUT THE DAY BUT NEVER 2000 MG IN TWO DOSES. DOES THIS SEEM HIGH FOR THIS DRUG.
