would you have another child? your husband has epilepsy, but…?

everything is normal, except for the fact that he has it. Our daughter is 3.5 years old and very smart, very normal, very healthy. it's a 4% chance for healthy people to have a child develop epilepsy, and 5 % with a father that has it. It is a greater percent if the mother has it. I don't have, thank God. Anyway we would like one one, or if we cant we are happy with our little one, but would like for her to have a sibling.Just your true thoughts please……
no he cannot drive right now, he will always be on meds. he cannot give baths if i am not here, or cook. just as precautions, until they are under control(6 mo).
Petite mal and in 2005 he had 8 grandmal in a period of 2 months. delprovic acid has helped. he takes three different types of meds. he still has petite mal a lot less often now than he did a couple of years ago. but still has the small ones every once n a while.
MOM OF TWO—yes I know all about the different seizures there are. He only had those two months with grand mal (clonic tonic). I had a horrible time dealing with noise and had to seek professional help. Anyhow, I am all better with that.He has had them all his life we think since a kid, but learned about them while he was in the military. He was suffering from migraine headaches and through an MRI they discovered it. So now it's 8 years later from discharge (medically discharged), and we is seeing his a specialist in veteran hosp.but a specialist from UCLA. He just had an EEG today. This is like his third in 8 years. Same old stuff though.
How did you get off your meds? Did your Doctor suggest it? My husband hates taking his.
oh, his petite mal's last 2-3 second, staring and sometimes eye blinking. Like you said he is as normal as can be. He is tired a lot though from meds and sometimes unbalanced–due to meds. We do everything like any other family, except he cannot do driving and those other things I mentioned. He is graduating with his B.A. in Psychology in a couple of weeks and continuing with his Masters. I am proud of him. I too have gone back for a second degree in Nursing this time. We live a busy life, but our daughter needs a sibling and we want her to have one.
