A Question About ADHD and Comprehension Problem
Hello everyone. I’m a 19-year-old college student. I love to learn, but I feel like I’m held back because of my comprehension problem. For instance, when I read something I catch myself reading but not thinking about what I’m reading,
If that makes any sense. To fully understand something, I have to read it about six times before I can get it, then about 3 more times to actually learn it and be able to resight the material. I have always had good grades, but I get frustrated because I have to work so hard.
My brother has ADHD, which is, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I just started thinking, well maybe I do have some kind of attention disorder. I have found that when I listen to music or talk to somebody as I’m reading I can remember better. I don’t know what that is. Anyway, I just wanted to see what everybody else thought. I appreciate anybody who gives their opinion.
You might have ADHD and you might just be distracted by a lot of things which you can know by giving your time to contemplate about your life and current situation. ADHD is hereditary so you can also have it.
