For Parents Of Children Who Have ADHD, ODD, PTSD, And/Or Bipolar Disorder?

What are the best books you have found for children who have any of the following? I’m looking both for books to help the child understand the disorders and for parents to understand and know what to do.

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Oppositional and Defiant Disorder
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Bipolar Disorder

Thank you for your help.
The child was physically and sexually abused for years while I tried to obtain a protective order. If you intend to be hurtful, keep it to yourself. We’re already in desperate pain in our home.

Thank you for your support. I forgot to add that I have researched literature for days, and I’m overwhelmed with the amount that is out there. I’m wondering if anyone has found specific books that have helped them.

Thank you, everybody. I am looking into the books and websites you suggested. It’s comforting to know there are other people dealing with this stuff, too, and that you don’t pass judgment. I can’t bring myself to choose the best answer because they all were helpful. And, thanks, Tex. 😉
And, thanks, Barry. I’ve seen your name, too! 🙂
